The Honky Tonk US Nationals 2024 will take place in Nashville, Tennessee – November 8-10.
REGISTER TO RACE:
This 3-day event will have 3 different race locations, giving you the chance to explore different parts of the city and take in all of Nashville! Be prepared for tight and technical tight slalom in a historic Centennial Park! Our race will be held in front of the 1897 World’s Fair Parthenon recreation, making for great photos and allowing spectators to watch our championship event! While we encourage you to explore Nashville as much as you can, we’re also planning some events to coincide with the races! Saturday night, we’ll be hosting a USA Slalom Skateboarding party at Two Rivers Skatepark. We’ll have a skate jam and our 2024 Year End Award Nominations (to be presented at 2025 TX Sizzler). Sunday’s award ceremony gathering in East Nashville – details to come! We’ll have more details out to you all about ALL events on ALL days soon. In the meantime, you can book your flights and places to stay and plan on an exciting close to our 2024 season!
DAY 1 – TIGHT SLALOM
Friday, November 8th
Centennial Park
2500 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203
Centennial Park – front lawn of the Parthenon with a nicely paved, smooth surface. The grade is fairly flat, so pumping your speed through the tight course will be key. Run out is flat, so a foot drag stop is necessary and safety hay bells will be at the end of the road. There will be an amateur course and more technical pro course, with practice and qualifying for all classes in the morning. We will break for lunch and food trucks/vendors will be on site so you don’t even have to leave the park! Race practice and head-to-head racing will resume in the afternoon – amateur racing first, followed by pro racing through the end the day. The course is lined with lights for racing to continue after sunset if needed.
DAY 2 – HYBRID SLALOM
Saturday, November 9th
Hamilton Creek Recreation Area
Heterodox View Ave, Nashville, TN 37217
For day 2, we’ll be racing Hybrid Slalom next to one of Nashville’s most iconic lakes at the Hamilton Creek Recreation Area, adjacent to the Music City BMX track. Practice & qualifying will begin at 8:30AM, with each racer division practicing & immediately running qualifying with their division. A short lunch break will take place once all divisions have completed qualifying, and then head-to-head racing within your divisions will begin – The same division order as tight day.
Bring your park boards because after the race, USA Slalom Skateboarding is hosting a Saturday night skate jam at Two Rivers Skatepark! Get ready for some skate jam games and our 2024 Slalom Skateboard Year End Awards nominations.
Two Rivers Skatepark
2320 Two Rivers Pkwy, Nashville, TN 37214
DAY 3 – GIANT SLALOM
Sunday, November 10th
Shelby Park
Shelby View Dr, Nashville, TN 37206
Sunday’s Giant Slalom will be held at East Nashville’s favorite park – Shelby Park! A scenic hill ending next to Sevier Lake will provide an amazing day with a great venues & fast speeds on this nice hill.
We’re running single-lane giant slalom on Sunday, with open practice beginning at 9AM & racing kicking off at 10:30AM- Everyone will take 3 race runs and combine the best 2 for the final standings. We will attempt to have a car transporting racers back to the top of the hill throughout the day.
Following racing, please join us for a closing party and award ceremony at Duel in the Sun Tattoo Shop, with an event flash sheet for tattoos offered by AJ Lingerfelt & pizza provided by Frankie’s Spuntino Nashville! Bring your board, as we’ll have some ramps & rails set up outside. Please plan to stick around for prizes and swag after awards!
Duel In The Sun Tattoo

ACCOMMODATIONS
There are plenty of hotels in Nashville to choose from and even more AirBnB options. If you want to experience the downtown nightlife on Broadway, you can stay in walking distance of bars with live music (every single bar has live music on the weekends – I’m not kidding). It will be cheaper to stay outside of the downtown interstate loop. If you decide to go that route, I recommend you stay in East Nashville/Inglewood or the north side of the city along I-24 near the Hybrid and Giant race hills (they are less than a mile apart). Please use common sense and your own due diligence on the quality of hotels.
Recommendations:
The Dive Motel
1414 Dickerson Pike, Nashville, TN 37207
- Very cool and unique place – look it up for photos!
- Fair price and located more between the Friday hill and weekend hills
- Biker pool parties sometimes!
Element Nashville Vanderbilt West End
4 City Blvd, Nashville, TN 37209
- More expensive but in a great part of town
- Very close to Friday’s race hill at Centennial Park
Other Options:
There are tons of hotels in the downtown interstate loop, but they are very expensive – so be warned!
Areas to search for in AirBnB: East Nashville, Inglewood, Cumberland Heights, Highland Heights, Midtown, Sylvan Park, Music Row, West End
Camping:
Two Rivers Campground
2616 Music Valley Dr, Nashville, TN 37214
- Located near the Grand Ole Opry and Two Rivers Skatepark (not necessarily walking distance but I’m not stopping you!)
There are others right outside of town on the south side of Nashville, but just keep in mind that we are mainly racing on the north side of the city.
