Come join the HISS crew July 11th, 12th and 13th 2025 in beautiful Wild & Wonderful West Virginia for three days of Slalom Racing and Comradery. This year’s race is going to be BIGGER and BETTER. We are going Main Status and starting a day earlier than last year with day one being a night race.

The RATTLER at the Hilltop Sanctuary located at Little Creek Park, South Charleston, WV is the race you don’t want to miss out on!

There is plenty to do for the entire family within the park: hiking and mountain biking trails, disc golf, two tennis courts, two basketball courts and playgrounds.

Adjacent to Little Creek Park is Little Creek Park golf course and they have a swimming pool!!

Friday evening July 11th, we will be setting up on the Hill early. Racers should plan to arrive around 5pm for Friday Night Lights GS! We will start off the evening with a speed trap and then begin GS practice. We’ll close out the night running GS under the lights. Feel free to come early and hang out with myself, Kyle and the HISS crew to check out the hill and throw in some hands and help out.

Saturday July 12th we will start Tight slalom practice at 9:00 am and start head to head racing at 10:30am.

Sunday July 13th we will start Hybrid slalom practice at 9:00am and start head to head racing at 10:30am.

We’ll wrap up this awesome weekend Sunday evening with awards ceremony at a site to be determined. Last Year we hung out under the Pavilion, but I’m looking into a close off-site locations with food and drink!

We’re stoked about this years Rattler and can’t wait to see everyone at the Sanctuary.
