The Honky Tonk US Nationals 2024 will take place in Nashville, Tennessee – November 8-10.

REGISTER TO RACE:

This 3-day event will have 3 different race locations, giving you the chance to explore different parts of the city and take in all of Nashville! Be prepared for tight and technical tight slalom in a historic Centennial Park! Our race will be held in front of the 1897 World’s Fair Parthenon recreation, making for great photos and allowing spectators to watch our championship event! Hybrid slalom will be raced on one of the nicest hills our city has to offer with a stunning downtown skyline view. It’s on a private road with a great uphill runout for quick shutdowns. The company that owns it has partnered with us for the event as well and are excited to host us! Our final race will be Giant slalom, which will feature a fast course somewhere between Giant and Super-G offsets. While we encourage you to explore Nashville as much as you can, we’re also planning some events to coincide with the races! Saturday night, we’ll be hosting a USA Slalom Skateboarding party at Two Rivers Skatepark. We’ll have a skate jam and our 2024 Year End Award Nominations (to be presented at 2025 TX Sizzler). Sunday’s award ceremony gathering in East Nashville – details to come! We’ll have more details out to you all about ALL events on ALL days soon. In the meantime, you can book your flights and places to stay and plan on an exciting close to our 2024 season!

DAY 1 – TIGHT SLALOM

Centennial Park
2500 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203

Centennial Park – front lawn of the Parthenon with a nicely paved, smooth surface. The grade is fairly flat, so pumping your speed through the tight course will be key. Run out is flat, so a foot drag stop is necessary and safety hay bells will be at the end of the road. There will be an amateur course and more technical pro course, with practice and qualifying for all classes in the morning. We will break for lunch for a couple of hours and food trucks/vendors will be on site so you don’t even have to leave the park! Race practice and head-to-head racing will resume in the afternoon – amateur racing first, followed by pro racing through the end the day. The course is lined with lights for racing to continue after sunset if needed.

DAY 2 – HYBRID SLALOM

Lansing Build Supplies
2811 Brick Church Pike C1, Nashville, TN 37207

Our 2nd day is hybrid slalom on our private race hill at Lansing Building Supplies. This is an amazing road with an incredible view that overlooks the Nashville skyline. There is a great run-out that goes back up hill that racers can U-turn with ease – no foot dragging! Practice will start in the morning, with qualifying immediately following (running all the way through the racer list). A short lunch break will take place and then head-to-head racing will begin.

Bring your park boards because after the race, USA Slalom Skateboarding is hosting a Saturday night skate jam at Two Rivers Skatepark! Get ready for some skate jam games and our 2024 Slalom Skateboard Year End Awards nominations.

Two Rivers Skatepark
2320 Two Rivers Pkwy, Nashville, TN 37214

DAY 3 – GIANT SLALOM

Brick Church Park Dr
566 Brick Church Park Dr, Nashville, TN 37207

We’re running single-lane giant slalom on the loop of Brick Church Park Dr. You can expect speeds of 30-40mph on this extra wide road. The spacing of cones will be a mix of giant and super-g, making this a fast course for every racing style. We’ll take 3 race runs and combine the best 2 for the final standings. We will have a car transporting racers back to the top of the hill throughout the day.

We will have a closing party and award ceremony after giant slalom at Duel in the Sun Tattoo Shop with an event flash sheet for tattoos at the party! Please plan to stick around for prizes and swag! Don’t forget Monday, November 11th is Veteran’s Day which might help with travel plans!

ACCOMMODATIONS

There are plenty of hotels in Nashville to choose from and even more AirBnB options. If you want to experience the downtown nightlife on Broadway, you can stay in walking distance of bars with live music (every single bar has live music on the weekends – I’m not kidding). It will be cheaper to stay outside of the downtown interstate loop. If you decide to go that route, I recommend you stay in East Nashville/Inglewood or the north side of the city along I-24 near the Hybrid and Giant race hills (they are less than a mile apart). Please use common sense and your own due diligence on the quality of hotels.
