Both race days will be held at our new venue, Dining Street, Brandon, MS.
The venue is right in behind a row of restaurants, Genna Benna’s (Georgia Blue), Mud Bugs, The Cleaners Pizzeria, Good Boy Po Boys. We are part of Brandon Jubilee Weekend. Food, Fair Rides, Car Show and Concerts (Travis Tritt Saturday Night). Big fun, big crowds are expected.

We are working to earn donations for Children’s of Mississippi Hospital. Any money above and beyond race expenses will be donated to representatives of the hospital on the race hill Saturday during a break. Come help us support this fantastic facility.

The Asphalt on a scale of 1-10 is a 9, the course is 185 yards long and the start drops at fast rate can reach 15-20 MPH. The finish flattens out to a slight rise for a pump to the finish. Think of this as Fondren Hill with almost perfect asphalt. There is a nice run out. No foot drag needed.

Emergency Medical will be on the hill. We are using Boy Scout Troop 229 as coneheads.

EVENT DISCRIPTION

FRIDAY:
Giant Slalom under the lights! Road closes at 6pm, and racing will start as close to 7pm as possible. Please be on time! Giant Slalom will be single lane jam style A & B class. Your class will be chosen by the timer. Racers may go off the ramp or no ramp. Cone penalty will be .20 per cone 15% cone DQ limit, all racers get four runs. This race will be run under large construction lighting as we saw at Luna in 2003, 2004 & 2005. Please try not to spill your margarita in the lighting generator.

SATURDAY:
We will be getting started with practice as close to 8am as possible with racing as close to 10am as possible so be ready. Tight slalom and Hybrid Slalom will be 1st qualifying and then head to head racing. Cone penalty will be .10 per cone 15% cone DQ limit; we will be using Ricky Byrd style start ramps and Trakmate timer with false start detection. If you false start it will be a DQ for that run.

Please note: There will be A and B classes for all racers this year. Only your time will seat you, nothing else, and all points will be awarded depending on where you place after head to head racing within your class class. So, this means that if there are for example, 8 racers in the A class and you come in 1st in the B class you will be in ninth place for the whole class and so on down the line. If we have enough Masters, Grand Masters, Juniors and Woman to make a division (declared magic number is 4) then they will be eligible to win both their class as well as the place they earn overall.
Cash prizes for top three Open and top three Women (if there is a class of four).

We will also accept entry fees on the hill. Entry Fee includes all racing, event t-shirt, lunch on the hill and Saturday after-party.
